STF 1st Networking Event

The first networking event took place at Beida (Peking University) on March 4 and 5. This was the first opportunity for the Fellows of the 1st intake to meet up again and exchange views on what it is like doing research at Chinese institutions.

One of the highlights of the event was the networking event which took place in the Press Hall of Beida. It was attended by representatives from the EU, Chinese officials and professors of the Fellows who were in Beijing. Welcome speeches were held by Mr. Johan Cauwenbergh, Minister Counsellor of the EU-Delegation in Beijing, as well as Dr. Hongwei Xia, Executive Deputy Director of the Office of International Relations of Beida.
